18 Weeks

Hello hello! I really wonder how many people actually read this.. am I wasting my time? No, not really because this will forever be documented! I might even print out each blog post and make a book out of it.

Well I will attempt this blog post while hearing my husband play Call of Duty (live) in the background, and let me just tell you... he does not play silently. I honestly don't even think he can keep his lips touching for more than 20 seconds. Let me just enlighten you with some of his phrases (the clean ones anyway.. he's working on that..)

-"Sucks for youuuuuu!"
-"really"
-"Are you SERIOUS?!"
"Gotcha" (this one is very snarky)
-"Seriously?" (very high inflection)
-"What the freak?!"
-"Freaking CAMPER!"
-"Oooooo.. shart" hahaha this one makes me laugh because he's avoiding saying a swear word
***Update- I wrote the above on another day, but tonight I was "complaining" about a mess and he says while playing his game, "can you complain another time while I'm trying to relax?" LOL who does he think he is!?

I could go on and on, but this is what I deal with.. let him enjoy it now because in T-minus 5 months he will not remember what this game felt like. Oh and what a glorious day it will be.

Ok onto pregnancy/baby related things...


*We are even more certain of our choice in choosing the birthing center in Chapel Hill. We have a tour Wednesday and hopefully will pay our deposit to hold our spot. Although I am a little scared about not having the option of pain relief, I'd much rather do it for me and my baby. I plan on learning "Hypnobabies" methods to help ease the birthing process.
*This little guy is a mover and a shaker. I mean it's already quite strange that I feel him this early (since week 16) but it is getting more noticeable every day. Last night Jake had his hand on my lower stomach (I mean low.. Levi was almost in the pelvic region lol) and he punched (or kicked) Jake's hand. It felt SO weird, it shocks me every time.
*I am finally starting to get some baby clothes (on the cheap of course). I'll find some things on clearance at Target, Old Navy had a huge sale and also a promo code, and we went to a consignment sale and got a few things. Little by little, this guy will have his own wardrobe.

Here is a current picture with an actual maternity shirt (thanks Margaret!!!). No white board this week, sorry, too busy!!!

Otherwise, here's that latest happenings..

Total weight gain: 

Symptoms: leakage.. yea, I know. Crazy right?!? It has actually been going on for a few weeks. I better be milk producing machine. 

Maternity clothes: just the ones I've gotten from friends.. I'm pretty lucky that I can still fit into my regular clothes (most of them)

Stretch marks: no

Sleep: so-so

Best moment this week: When Levi hit or punched the crap out of me and Jake felt it. It was like I was that chick in that movie "Species" with the little alien inside me hahaha. I know so wrong, but honestly when you've never felt anything like this it's so weird!

Miss anything?: being able to paint without Jake getting on me ;) There are so many projects to do and I just want to do it!!!

Movement: Ohhhhh yea, especially at night.. he's an active little one. 

Food cravings: not this week 

Food aversions: no

Belly button: Normal

Wedding ring: fitting normal

Mood: same

Looking forward to: Fall and being productive!!! Now that I've gotten my energy back :)

Baby bump: in between a gut and little belly... it's even bigger when I gorge myself haha

17 Weeks, Gender Reveal and NAME

Ok, so TECHNICALLY I am 18 weeks as I write this, but I will recap on week 17 and our gender reveal party... here it goes..

So doing the gender reveal and not finding out until our family and friends did was the BEST idea ever. Honestly, it would of been boring (in my opinion) to have found out in the ultrasound room. Of course Jake and I would of been excited, but where is the fun in that??? I swear we are doing something like this for every child, it will never get old! Nothing can explain that feeling when you're about to find out, and then you do and the crowd goes wild!!! LOL When I saw that blue, I about died... I was such in shock because I really thought it would be a girl! But I was so happy for Jake, because it's all he wanted. That moment was priceless, and I am so glad we got some of it on video. Our house was packed with people we loved and who love us.. it was such a special night. There were a few friends who couldn't make it (who we missed dearly) but I was so surprised at the turn out! What I thought would be 10 people turned out to be about 30. Which was great because I worked my toosh off that day doing decorations and cleaning. It was SO worth it. The only "disappointment" was opening the envelope with the anatomy picture and it was very unclear that it was a boy. I was wanting to see spread eagle legs and the full monty. But we can hardly decipher what we're looking at haha. But the nurse was sure it was a boy! I'll bring the picture with me to my next appointment and hopefully have someone explain it to me. I posted all of the pics on Facebook, but here is one just for fun...

 

We've also chosen HIS name :)

Little Levi... we LOVE this name SO much. It's so bad A ;) Jake jokes that once Levi has his own family, they will call themselves the "Levites".. yea he thinks it's pretty hilarious. We initially really liked Ezra for a boy.. then we found out our friends had it picked as number 1 on their list so we started thinking of other names. But I'm kind of glad because we actually like Levi a lot better. And for those of you that aren't sure how to pronounce this, it's like the jeans. And we went with the middle name "Jacob" because nothing else really sounded right, and it's a homage to his Daddy :)

Ok, onto the questionnaire...

Total weight gain: 2 pounds... OMG!

Symptoms: sciatic nerve (what's new), I still gag (rarely though)

Maternity clothes: haven't bought any.. too poor. Ugh I need to find some though for CHEAP. 

Stretch marks: no

Sleep: some nights good, some nights not.. I usually wake up some time in the middle of the night for 30 minutes or so

Best moment this week: Our gender reveal party!!! SO FUN!!! And of course finding out what we are having, a sweet little boy. 

Miss anything?: having my steak cooked with pink in the middle!!! Ugh, went to the Angus Barn and had to order it well done.. it was soooo gross. I just want some of that bloody juice!! hahahahah

Movement: feeling it a little more! I actually was looking down while laying down and saw a little "blip" and felt it. It was really cool. It still feels really light, like it's just my muscles moving around.. but I know it's my little man :)

Food cravings: hmm nothing out of the ordinary

Food aversions: no

Belly button: Normal

Wedding ring: fitting normal

Mood: same

Looking forward to: getting little man things :)

Baby bump: it changes day to day, but it's noticeable, but not as big as others at this stage.

16 Weeks

One of these days, I won't have to lift my shirt.. SHOW, BABY, SHOW!!!

I love my little avocado

A lot has transpired this past week... I've had to buy a bigger bra (hey, I'm NOT complaining). I THINK I have felt some flutters, but I can't exactly tell.. but the fact that I'm not sure what it is leads me to believe it may be baby. And something else has happened dealing with my breastises hahaha but I won't go in detail.. let's just say it's happening quite early and it did freak me out.. but it's just my body preparing! We find out in 5 days what this little munchkin is, we cannot wait!!!! So ready to just KNOW and move on with life! I don't know how ANYONE waits til birth.. HECKS NO.

Anyways, here's the latest...

Total weight gain: Hmm let me check.. *goes to bathroom and gets on scale*...HAHAHA nothing, just as I suspected. 

Symptoms: this sciatic nerve is about to drive me bananas... I'm going to chiropractor tomorrow and he said we'd figure out what we can do.. I literally was waddling the other night hahaha it's so pathetic. 

Maternity clothes: nope, but I'm thinking I'm gunna need some soon

Stretch marks: nope.. still lathering on Mama Mio 

Sleep: Hasn't changed much since last week.. really have to have a pillow between my knees to be comfy

Best moment this week: thinking, hoping and wishing upon a star that those movements I feel are the baby :)

Miss anything?: I'm gunna admit, a nice cocktail would be awesome

Movement: kinda sorta maybe? It feels like a little muscle twitch below my belly button.. who knows, maybe I'm just wishful thinking!

Food cravings: A Sierra Turkey sandwhich from Panera STILL sounds amazing. (yep, gunna keep this sentence just as is.. I'm gunna have to get me one this week)

Food aversions: no

Belly button: Normal

Wedding ring: fitting normal

Mood: same

Looking forward to: we find out gender THIS WEEK.. and I'm so excited for our party, it's gunna be so fun to have everyone together!!!

Baby bump: some days it looks bigger than others... when I wear shorts where I can still button them, you can't really tell.. but you definitely can when I'm NAKEY lol

Ok next time I'm write I'll be able to use HE or SHE!!! WHOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!
