Well, after 5 amazing years of being married and enjoying the time to ourselves... we finally are going to add a new addition!
I took a positive test on June 13th (Wednesday) and waited until Saturday, the 16th, to tell Jake. Here's why: Father's Day was that Sunday, the 17th, and I couldn't pass up that opportunity! I decided to tell him Saturday morning because we had a busy day on Sunday and I wanted him to know.. I couldn't hold it in any longer! I woke him up and said "when you're ready to come out to the living room I have a surprise for you, because you've been doing such a great job at work!"
So I set up a hidden camera and waited for him to come out. I handed him a bag with an envelope. He opened the card and it was a "Happy Father-to-be Day" card, and inside I put a picture of my positive digital pregnancy test. Inside the bag was a NC State onesie, a Baby Ruth bar where I wrote over "Ruth" with "King" and a wallet, just as a gift. He was so SURPRISED!!!
