My bump, my bump, my lovely pregnant bump.. check it outtttt
I tried to edit this picture because my face was SO red. I think because I went on a long walk that day and I tend to break out in hives when working out sometimes.. so annoying!
I had an appointment this week at the Birth Center, as I will continue to do every week until birth. I met with an older midwife named Allison who was great. I also had to do my GBS testing at this appointment which all pregnant women have to do at their 36 week visit. Can I just say, I previously was scared of this little test because it involves you getting your vajay and "back door" swabbed for a sample. Gross I know. But at the Birth Center they give you the tiny q-tip thing tell you what to do and you get to go to the bathroom and do it yourself. It was so much less invasive and not bad at all, it was easy peesy!!! Haha ok now that I got that out of my system... the midwife also felt the baby with her hands (you'd be surprised how hard they squeeze on you!) and said she guesses he's 6.75 pounds now and may be around 8 when he's born. She also said he's a long baby.. hopefully he'll be tall like his daddy! Other than the birth center visit and Hypnobabies class.. not much else interesting happened this week! OH, actually our friends Seth and Morgan had their baby boy on Friday (1/25) so that was exciting!! We have one more couple on the list before us then all the couples who were pregnant together will be complete!
Here are two awesome Hypnobabies births we watched this week... nothing graphic, but you will see the baby being born but not directly, if that makes sense.
This video does a great job showing the mom leading up to labor during birthing waves (contractions) and how she is using the Hypnobabies tools... so encouraging to me to know birth can be done like this! Not only that, I plan on having a water birth like this woman and look how gentle the baby is brought into the world!
This video also shows a woman handling her birthing waves using the Hypnobabies tools and also pushing the baby out (without showing down there)
Hypnobabies is going to allow me to have an amazing birth experience, and I will not let you tell me otherwise!!!! :D
Now onto some stats...
Total weight gain: 28 at last appointment.. heftttttyyy! Hahaha
Symptoms: still heartburn! My tummy gets a little tight at the top sometimes and I occasionally have slight cramping in the bottom of my belly, not very often though.
Maternity clothes: nothing new.. I cannot believe I made it through the whole pregnancy with like 3 maternity pants and 4 shirts hahaha. Now that's being frugal!
Stretch marks: I got like 2.. freakin' jerks.
Sleep: the heartburn I can sometimes manage.. but now it's like my body just doesn't want to fall into a deep sleep. It's so weird! It's like my mind is always running... I guess it's just my body preparing!
Best moment this week: hearing I probably have a long baby.. awwwww ;)
Miss anything?: I think I'm ready to have my old body back lol
Movement: yes but it's a lost less limited since he's running out of space in there
Food cravings: no
Food aversions: nope
Belly button: it's popped out, but not enourmously
Wedding ring: it got stuck a little this week so I put on a bigger "fake" ring for a few days
Mood: good but I have noticed I'm a lot less reserved while pregnant.. if you make me mad I am not afraid to let you know haha
Looking forward to: labor believe it or not.. Hypnobabies really helps me to get ready and excited. I also of course cannot WAIT to see what he looks like and meet him!
Baby bump: It's definitely out there!
Thanks for stopping by!
