Hi all, Levi here.
Wellp, I am now officially 2 months old (8 weeks as of Saturday April 20). I've grown so much, my parents can hardly believe it! I may have gone through a growth spurt this month because there were a few times I was pretty unhappy.. but all Mommy had to do was change my schedule and now I'm a different baby. She's learning it's trial and error and I try to let her know what's wrong, but I can't talk yet so all I can manage to do is fuss or cry. But I don't do it much anymore because I love my schedule :) It looks like this...
7/7:30am: wake up and eat, hang out with Mommy (and Daddy if he's home) in bed for a little while
7:45/8am: go down for a nap
9:45/10:15: wake up and eat, hang out while Mommy (and possibly Daddy) eat breakfast and have coffee
11am: go down for 2nd nap
1pm: wake up and eat, play time
2-4pm: 3rd nap
4pm: eat
4:30-7:30pm: hang out/play and have a few catnaps in the open
7/7:30pm: eat and get ready for bed (bath, read story)
8/8:30pm: bed time!
10:30pm: eat (lights stay off, noises are quiet)
11pm: back to bed for the night until morning!
So as you can see I eat about every 3-3.5 hours, except at night. I probably could go longer, because I am not crying for food when 3 hours goes by.. but Mommy just feeds me and I eat!
Here are some highlights from my 2nd month...
-Mommy and Daddy went out for the first time without me for a few hours. They went to their friends house (Holly and Jason) to have some adult time with their friends. My MarMar (Daddy's mom) watched me.
-I celebrated my first Easter (I slept in my carseat during church) and after church we had lunch with MarMar and Noah and then headed to Shady Wagon Farm for dinner with Mommy's family.
-I met my buddy Ezra for the first time. It was fun!
-Mommy and Daddy switched to a more "Babywise" approach of scheduling. I love it! I'm so much happier now :)
-Mommy worked her first wedding and was gone all day. Daddy was home watching me and I didn't cooperate too well for him. I didn't want to take my naps like I usually do, so I cried and cried when I should've been sleeping. Thank goodness my MarMar was here to help Daddy! The following weekend she worked another wedding and I did much better. Daddy really enjoyed it and we had fun together.
-I went to a big BBQ get-together where all my other baby friends were. I met Elijah and Arianna for the first time. And Ezra was there, too! The baby gang was together for the first time. My Daddy and Arianna's Daddy were already talking about our arranged marriage. My Daddy said he'd pay a dowry of 2 goats. Nate (Arianna's Daddy) was okay with this.
-I spent the night in my room for the first time! (April 22nd)
-2 month check up: I am now 11 pounds exactly (2 pounds gained since birth). I am 22 3/4" tall and am as fit as a fiddle! I am in the 25-50th percentile across the board. I got two vaccines at my appointment (not your usual 4 because my parents chose to follow the delayed vaccination schedule implemented by Dr. Bob Sears... if you haven't noticed, my parents are pretty unconventional haha). I got the DTaP, which was a shot in my thigh and the Rotavirus, which was a liquid I got put in my mouth. I didn't know what was coming when I got that shot! I was laying there content as could be then *BAM* I got jabbed.. I cried a loud, pathetic cry but was over it in 5 seconds. I think it was harder on Mommy then on me.. she didn't cry though! I will get my 2 remaining vaccines at a 3 month check up.
